Wensleydale Railway: Class 47 47715 Poseidon. Built as D1945 it became 47502 in 1974. When transferred to Scotland for push/pull work it was numbered 47715 and named Haymarket (1985). Of the original 512 built I saw all but six - this is one of the six! Of the remaining 5 not seen only 47851 survives today (formerly D1648 / 47064 / 47639)

Wensleydale Railway: Class 47 47703 St Mungo (named 2008). Originally D1960 it then became 47514 (1974-1979). Transferred to Haymarket it became 47703 St Mungo (1979 to 1990). In 1991 it was named The Queen Mother until March 1995 when it became Lewis Carroll (to 1997). At Tyseley in 2000 it was named Hermes which it carried through to 2008 when it reverted to its original name. I did see this engine as D1960 but have no record of where so must have been between 1962 and 1965. Later seen as 47703 at Crewe Works in 1979 (with Steve and David)
