2009: Embsay Station, July 20, 2009. With no apparent identity this is former BR Class 14 D9513 (built 1964). It survived with BR only 4 years when it was sold to Ashington Colliery, Northumberland and became NCB No38. It came to Embsay in 1987

1984: 0-6-0ST Primose at Embsay on July 22nd, 1984. Built in Leeds by Hunslets in 1952, it worked for the NCB at Peckfield Colliery, Micklefield. The loco is still at Embsay undergoing complete overhaul (2009)
